"God Opens Doors; We Just Have To Enter"
 
It has been on my heart for the last few months the number of people who are Believers but do not see the need to attend Church.  I do not think you have to attend Church to believe in God, but I feel that most Christians know they should.  The support of a Church Family has been such a blessing to me through out my life.  I know if you listen to God he will direct you to the right Church for you. 
 
So here is my story.  My husband and I were raised in the same small Baptist Church.  We attended Bible School together as children and youth together as teenagers.  We were married there and started our family there.  Most of the congregation were related to us or close friends.  As our children grew our Church became smaller.  Our teenage daughter did not have a youth group to attend.  We had discussed the fact that our girls needed the relationships of other Christians their age to grow with.  She went to youth activities with friends but we knew as a family we all needed more.  But this meant leaving our comfort zone of the only Church home we knew.  I prayed about this but made no effort to change the situation.
 
One Sunday evening I asked my daughter if she was going to a youth group that she had been attending with a friend.  She said no because they were practicing for youth Sunday and she would not be able to attend since we had rules about going to our Church as a family on Sunday morning.  We told her that she could participate that week and we would go with her.  We never dreamed that this was the place we were all meant to be. The next week both girls begged to go back.  After a couple of weeks we all knew this was the place God intended us to be.  It was true for us "You are a visitor for one Sunday only; then you are family."  I cannot imagine not having the Christian friends we have at church to pray with, grow with, support and have fun with for the past 15 years.
 
My prayer is that ALL (believers and non-believers) find a Church that feels like home.  A place to worship, grow spiritually, learn and praise God.  For me that place is Trinity.
